Beyond The Walls
People build a wall for every:
Stand they had to make, for every blow they were dealt, for every pain they felt, for every moment they regret, everything they encountered, for every trust that was broken.
People build a wall for all:
The pain inside them, the darkness they walk in, the bleeding heart they hold dear, for the anger they hold inside, for the revenge they’d love to seek.
People build a wall to:
shelter the last shreds of humanity left inside. For when the walls are down there is no difference between the damsel in distress and the dragon in the keep.
So when you make someone break down their walls be careful for many knights have left the castle different than they got in.
